An early example of a building intended to take advantage of the government 's funding for schools, but designed in the manner of a church except for the square-headed tudor windows. A simple Gothic church of random coursed squared bluestone rubble designed by Thomas M Taylor and opened in 1858. The building was dismantled in 1973 and re-erected on its present site in 1974 with the skillion vestry extended laterally under a lower-pitched roof and an even more unfortunate new porch.
